Royal playbook
You'll learn it in five minutes — and spend the whole climb perfecting it. Suits mean nothing at this table. Only rank, nerve, and the three cards you've hidden face-down.
Every match starts with 3 cards face-down in front of you — unseen, even by you — and 6 in your hand. Before the clock runs out, pick 3 of those to sit face-up on top of your hidden cards. Whoever locks in first takes the first turn.
Beat or match the rank on top of the center pile, and play several of the same rank in one go. While the deck lasts, you draw back up to 3 after every play.
No legal play — the whole pile joins your hand, and your turn keeps going on a fresh table. Sharks take it on purpose: block a four-of-a-kind burn, stockpile ammo, starve your rival of high cards.
Three ranks break the rules — and if four consecutive cards of one rank hit the pile, even split across both players, it burns automatically and whoever landed the fourth keeps their turn.
Drops on anything, resets the pile — then you go again, and any rank is legal.
Command your rival: 8-and-up or 6-and-down on their next play. A 2 can't bail them out.
Plays on anything. The entire pile burns out of the game, and you go again on a clean table.
Deck gone, hand empty — your face-up cards come down and play as your hand. Then the face-downs flip blind, one at a time. If a reveal can't beat the pile, you take the whole thing, that card included.
Clear all three rows before your rival, and the throne is yours.

Ranks & XP
Every duel pays XP. Seven tiers stand between you and Grandmaster — the lower five climb through four sub-ranks each, and the elite two have no subdivisions at all. You hold the tier, or you don't.
Inside a tier, your emblem gains detail as you climb its four sub-ranks.

Living portraits
Painted portraits that move. Your avatar breathes at the table through every duel — pick a face your rivals will remember.
